Datalogic Scanner Maintenance Tips
In order to avoid issues with your Datalogic scanners there are a number of important tips you'll want to keep in mind.
For starters, you'll want to make sure that you never put your scanner back onto the cradle (or remove it from the cradle) during data transmission. Doing so can result in data transmission errors and sometimes even cause the scanner to fail completely.
If your Datalogic scanner is completely frozen, performing a hard reboot might fix the issue. Having said that, if this is a problem that you experience on a regular basis, there is likely a larger issue at play.
Make sure that you never get your scanners wet or expose them to a particularly damp environment. Generally, it is IP rated against being splashed with water, but it cannot be submerged for any length of time.
Finally, be sure to keep your scanner as clean as possible to avoid issues like sticking buttons.
